Dubai is amazing. Spent 4 yrs there
From 2012 to 2016 with my family. The kids loved it. Very safe
The safest place in the world. 217 different nationalities and most everyone got along. Kids could be kids and run through the malls and you never had to worry where they would go. It was a blast but yes it has its down falls like companies even the government late on paying your paychecks sometimes. Promising overtime then never paying it. So my best advice is dont get into debt never take loans out. Save save save and always be on your toes assuming nothing will ever get done when you need it to and chill . You will enjoy it. Pharmacies everywhere
Insulin and diabetic supplies so much cheaper then America and no need for prescriptions. I could walk into any pharmacy and afford any meds and never needed a doctor. All the pharmacists are doctors too. I loved the weather all year. Always sunny. Only 2 to 4 days a year it downpours. It was great

A week in winter is nice but living in D.D (Disney-Dubai) …ouh ! Not a good idea. The city includes 70% of Indian and 70% of male which means when you walk outside the tourist attraction you have the impression that there is only Indian male around you ! I have nothing against but it create a very special atmosphere. You are thinking of Lucky Luke with this city without womens where no one is shave or properly dress up as there is no reason for it. And then Imagine 16 millions tourists starving for fun who are there only a few months : the winter time with ultra packed airplanes, airports, hotels and of course attractions, like a big cash industry. And then no one for the super long “summer” as there is 6 months over 35 degrees with high humidity. Dubai is just became an open air Disney World from november to march, the rest is nothing.
